OUR RICH HISTORY
Bierman Welding has been a family owned business for over 70 years. It was started in 1947 by Harry Bierman. Harry started welding at a young age. Before he served in World War 2, he worked in a local welding shop. There he learned to weld and be a machinist. After being honorably discharged from the army he immediately started a welding shop and married the love of his life, Madge.
In 1980, they sold the welding shop to their 4 sons, but he continued to work at the shop until the age of 99. Harry passed away in February of 2015. He was well known in Effingham because of his strong work ethic and dedication to his family and religion. He proudly passed these values on to his 7 children and 20 grandchildren.
